Witness is a security system that identifies the semen, egg and embryo samples of each patient.
Why is this important?
This system, called Witness, avoids possible handling or identification errors of the samples using labels and individualised identification cards. These labels and cards are read by Witness at every step of the process confirming at all times the identity of the patient.
How does it work?
Before starting the process, patients receive a card with their personal data that is always used to verify their identity before obtaining any sample. Each tube, petri dish or container used with these samples is marked with electronic labels that are associated with the patient card. The system independently verifies the data during each phase of the treatment and are capable of detecting any alteration in the protocol to identify the samples and being able to interrupt the process if necessary.
Tambre is pioneering in the use of a security system that reduces the possibility of error in the laboratory to zero.
